Updated Vision

UMT Community Center PlanThe quest to bring UMT Residents year-round programming and offer a hub for community gatherings, has led to an updated vision.

The ideal location of this building remains Grange Park. The Board of Supervisors and UMT staff have stayed committed to two major objectives while working towards a community center.

  1. Creating a building for everyone that is as multi-functional as possible
  2. Including amenities that can generate enough revenue to operate the facility, and not
  3.  be dependent on tax dollars

These goals led to a covered turf field with an indoor walking track and multi-purpose courts as the first piece of the puzzle. This year-round indoor space would allow for many of the different activities our residents requested.
