A Message From the Upper Macungie Township Chief of Police

Welcome to the Upper Macungie Township Police Department’s website. Throughout this site I hope to provide you with a glimpse of the Police Department as an organization that is fully committed to excellence and quality service to the community. This commitment, both in the services we provide and the belief that people are our most valuable resource, has been the basis for our organization’s successes. As we strive to strengthen the foundation in policing and continue to develop relationships with the community, other township departments, and outside agencies, we will continually strive to enhance the safety, security, and our alliances in the years to come.

Your Police Department is comprised of 36 professional employees, of which 34 are sworn police officers – serving the citizens of Upper Macungie Township. We have assembled one of the finest teams in law enforcement, whose professionalism is demonstrated by its commitment to surpassing the level of excellence we endeavor to provide.

Upper Macungie Township is home to over 26,000 residents. It is also home to many businesses and warehouses. Along with that come increased levels of commercial vehicle traffic. From residents to employees and other commuters, we strive to create the safest traffic scenarios for all traversing throughout the township.

The Department is comprised of the Office of the Chief, and two Divisions: Patrol and Crime & Community Services.
