Upper Macungie Township has partnered with Wildlands Conservancy to offer individuals and families to partake in a variety of unique experiences to explore nature and wildlife. Only $5.00/participant. All programs will take place at Lone Lane Park. Check out our monthly offerings below!

(10/12) Creepy Crawlies and Night Hike

The shuffling, snorting, hooting sounds in the darkness truly aren’t anything to be afraid of. See nocturnal wildlife under the pavilion lights and explore the Lone Lane trail for any creepy crawlies and footprints.

(11/16) Hooty Hoot Hike

Hang out with one of Wildlands Conservancy’s resident owls before going on a quest through the Lone Lane wooded path to try and locate wild owls. Participants will also have the opportunity to investigate owl pellets and learn about their diets.

(12/13) Fluffy Friends & S'mores

A lineup of cute and fluffy animal friends will be making an appearance at Lone Lane Park. We’ll have a fire pit set up following the animal presentation for some fun and tasty s’more making.

(1/18) Footprint Tracking Workshop & Animal Presentation

Just like a fingerprint, every animal’s footprint is unique. Come learn how to locate and identify the tracks of various animals with the Wildlands crew. They’ll be bringing along some animal friends to help with this workshop.

(2/15) Snowshoeing & Hot Chocolate

Join us for an Intro to Snowshoeing class and winter hike! If there is no snow, you will still have the opportunity to try on Snowshoes to get the feel of them in the grass. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate after your hike along the trail.

(3/14) Paws, Claws, & Pizza

Check out some of Wildland’s most rambunctious animals under the pavilion. Vinny’s Pizzeria will be serving up hot slices of cheese pizza to all who attend.
